Andaxínház was established in 1990 and from the very beginning it has represented a unique trend among the many Hungarian progressive theatrical schools. Andaxínház is exploring the ways of how to merge different artistic expressions. Its main focus is to manifest itself in a complex theatrical form of expression where dance, motion, music and powerful visual effects are as important as the literary text. Andaxínház is a theatre of quest and experiment.

Its essence is the quest, creative freedom and stimulating theatre workshop context in which artists coming from the varied fields of contemporary culture produce their work of art. The performances are of tense atmosphere, with intensity and authentic theatrical presence significantly emphasized. They are characterised by the depth, quest, realisation of and engagement in profound experiences. Among their premiers, there are word theatre performances, poetry nights and dance performances. Andaxínház is present.
