One of the biggest Mixed Martial Artist Organization in our age organized a gala for the third time in Hungary.
For the first time among the MMAs, Norbert Növényi Jr. the son of the Hungarian light heavyweight wrestling Olympic champion Norbert Növényi, entered the octagon in Budapest. At the age of 18, as the youngest on the gala, he confidently defeated using a chokehold the 20 years older German-Turkish Mehmet Yüksel – thus maintaining his flawless balance among the pros.
His father became one of the world’s best in 4 sports – in wrestling, kick-box, MMA and grappling – although Norbert Növenyi Jr. played basketball, football, did swimming and acrobatic dance, later he won world champion title in grappling, he had different goals such as to become the best of MMA. The 18 years old contestant knows that this goal takes a lot of work, but he already took the first official step because as one of the youngest warriors in the history of Bellator he stepped into the cage on 6th April in Budapest Gala.
In his statement he spoke like our company’s managers: “You see it right; I have a healthy confidence which is necessary to move up on the ladder. Unfortunately, many call this pompousness, but they have no clue how much work is behind it. I’m young and sometimes I overreact when I hear this but then I start exercising and forget about it. According to my father success is not for free and the invested work into exercising is refunded in victories. Maybe that’s the reason why I like this so much because I’m getting more confident that I’m a fight and victory addict.”
